Emerson Investments is a financial investment firm based in Georgia. They requested a site design that would catch the eye of visitors and emphasize the symbol of their company, the pyramid. Emerson Investments wanted to be able to list all of their articles and newsletters that are typically sent out monthly informing their customers of the latest financial information. They also wanted to provide their customers with a list of products and services they offer. Because Emerson Investments primarily handles stock trading it was important for them to have a stock market page displaying the latest quotes of some of the big players in the New York Stock Exchange. As well, Emerson Investments wanted to display for visitors the latest financial news.

Solution:
A clean and eye catching home page was designed for Emerson Investments that not only emphasized their business symbol, but displayed their business statement. It was important for Emerson Investments that users could also see and visit affiliated companies. The largest portion of the site to develop was the market watch page which provided viewers with the latest details on selected stock quotes that are easily changeable. As well, users can search for the stock quotes they wish to find information on. I integrated AJAX to pull the stock quote information so users could continue to view the pre-selected quotes and market news while the data is pulled. A contact form was also developed so users could quickly and easily send comments and inquires to Emerson Investments. Google Maps API was also put in place on the contact form so visitors to Emerson Investments could easily locate and navigate to their offices. The end result was a site that keeps the viewer up to date with live stock quotes and financial news feeds all while informing them about Emerson Investments and all of their products and services.
