Request:
Johnstown PA is a visitors bureau website where tourists planning to visit the area can check events that are upcoming, stores, lodging, and many other attractions in the area of Johnstown PA and also read more about the area itself. They requested that the site be fully dynamic, manageable, and for there to be two sub sites which focus on their two major attractions, Polkafest and Thunder in the Valley. Additionally, Johnstown requested an online store to be put into place.

Solution:
A very versatile content management system was put into place which allowed for the creation of pages in their hierarchy, management of news and events, advertisements, point of interests, and the products within the online store. The content management system was tied seamlessly into the front end to give a very easy to use and attractive look for Johnstown PA providing users with the ability to find events and points of interests in the area.

Contribution:
I was responsible for the development of the front end of the site which included the events, point of interests, and actual pages with their appropriate ads, contact form, the development of the two sub sites, a complex variety search, dynamic site map and XML site map for SEO purposes, and the layout of the online store. As for the content management system, I was responsible for the development of the system that creates and manages pages with their advertisements. The point of interests management section in the administration was also my responsibility. And finally, the site maps, both XML and front end, and the variety search had to be manageable in the content management system.
